One of my favorite positive motivational websites is Wingsfortheheart.com. and this month’s motivational story is so awesome, I have to share it with you. It gave me the hope and inspiration to keep focused on my goals and dreams. Please read and enjoy and when finished, sign-up for her monthly newsletter. You’ll be glad you did!

What Are You Fighting For?

Once in awhile, a film comes along that opens your eyes in powerful ways. For me, the most recent movie to do this was “Cinderella Man.” If you haven’t seen it yet, I’ll give a quick overview without giving away anything important to the story line.

James J. Braddock was a boxer in the 1920′s and 1930′s, during the Great Depression. With employment opportunities so limited during that era, boxing was the primary means for Mr. Braddock to provide for his wife and three children. But even that was touch and go, and he had several difficult years just struggling to survive.

After a streak of bad luck, he was given a second chance to make a comeback, and he took full advantage of it, fighting with all he had. Yet, he still had moments when he faltered, when his confidence was threatened, and he had to remember exactly what he was fighting for.

During one poignant scene in the film, Braddock took a hard punch in the head and he was stunned for a few seconds. His strength began to wane, and he was on the verge of surrendering to his opponent — when suddenly he saw images in his mind of his wife and children going hungry, having no money to pay the bills, and he knew that losing wasn’t an option. He gathered his strength and will, and won the fight.

Later, during a press conference, a reporter asked him what changed his streak of bad luck and made his comeback so strong.

James said softly, “This time I know what I’m fighting for.” When the reporter inquired about what that was, James said, “milk.” His family’s survival was a powerful motivator for him, as it would be for most of us.

This movie was incredibly inspiring for many reasons, but one major thing kept jumping out at me, and that’s the importance of having something worth fighting for. Isn’t it true that a certain level of comfort breeds complacency, while hardship ignites a fighting spirit?

Most of us are not fighting against a live opponent in the ring or economic depression. But our battles are still very real. The problem is that our opponents are less visible than Braddock’s were. Instead of a man with gloves, we fight against our fear, our doubts, our temptation to give up when it gets too hard. But if we have a strong goal in mind, something that’s vitally important to us, we will continue to fight for it. Giving up is simply not an option.

Think about the goals you’ve had in the past – the ones you didn’t achieve. Be honest with yourself about why you didn’t achieve them. Did you give up because you thought the battle was hopeless, or were those goals just not important enough to you?

I know that some of you still hold your unrealized dreams close to your heart. You haven’t totally given up on them, but you’re no longer actively working toward them. All I want to ask you is: are they worth fighting for? Even if the fight takes months, years, decades?

If you can answer yes to that question, I urge you to take up the battle again.

Don’t worry about “how” you’ll achieve your goals, no matter how impossible they may seem. Just lace up those gloves and dance into the ring, letting your determination glow hot and bright. It just might be the key that unlocks the door to the future you dream of.

How about you? Is there a part of your dream you have been putting off? Is it time for you to make a move and do something powerful with your life?

I know you feel it. It’s that season, a time to move forward into greatness physcially and mentally.

I had to make many sacrifices to write my book, but I am so glad I did. I want to help you get up and start moving toward your new body and your new life.

You don’t have to wonder how or figure out the formula. I did that for you!

It’s Your Time!

Are you sick of trying diet after diet and never getting the results you desire?Have you had it with spending your hard earned cash on pills, powders, and high priced packaged foods only to be left starving and broke? Then, You’ve got to read my latest book titled, Fat Chick to Cover Model, where you learn the strategies to finally kick your excess fat to the curb!

How is my book different than all the other thousands of weight loss books on the market? Because most books on the market are written by people WHO HAVE NEVER HAD TO LOSE WEIGHT BEFORE!!!

That’s right!! Most weight loss books on the bookshelves today are written by doctors who basically tell you the same information you ALL READY KNOW!! They package up the same old advice that you’ve already tried which has left you still seeking something more. That’s because they don’t know what it is like to be hungry all the time, or to crave sugar and carbohydrates 24/7.

Most of them don’t even exercise, so they don’t know what it REALLY takes to shed those stubborn pounds.

What you need to have is REAL WEIGHT LOSS STRATEGIES THAT WORK! If you follow my advice that I learned from a real Celebrity Fitness trainer, you will finally get the body you have always dreamed of.

Why this time? Because, what the weight loss industry doesn’t know is that being successful takes sound advice, real solutions, and something more…a person who will coach you! That’s right…I want to be your WEIGHT LOSS COACH!

In my book, I COACH you by explaining…

How and what to eat to help you burn fat fast!

The best exercises to get the maximum results!

Mind Power strategies never before revealed!

Proven methods and secrets only the celebrity fitness world knows and they are not sharing with the general public.

LET ME BE YOUR WEIGHT LOSS COACH! Let me help you get the results you want FAST, EFFECTIVELY, and WITHOUT HUNGER or FATIGUE like all the other diets you’ve tried before.

You need me as your weight loss coach because I have been where you are now…overweight, miserable, and desperate to get the weight off for good!

I lost the weight and I am keeping if off! Does this sound too good to be true? Well, it is TRUE and it is GOOD!

But, how do you know this is finally the answer? How do you know if you REALLY need a weight loss coach to help you lose the weight for good and if my book, Fat Chick to Cover Model will help you?

ASK YOURSELF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

Do you find yourself starting diets and never finishing them?

Is it hard to get and stay motivated while on a diet and fitness program?

Do you give up easily or come up with excuse after excuse to avoid doing what you know you have to do to reach your weight loss goal?

Are you finding it more difficult with each attempt at losing weight to be successful?

Does food seem to have control over you instead of you being in control over food?

Do you find that you do better when there is accountability?

If you answered yes to 3 or more of the above questions, then you are in need of my book, Fat Chick to Cover Model and me as your personal weight loss coach.

You also need a weight loss coach because it is an effective way to finally take control over the barriers that have kept you from achieving your dream of weight loss success.

For years, I struggled to lose weight. I tried diet after diet with little success and was left with more weight to lose after each failed attempt.

It wasn’t until I learned REAL weight loss SECRETS from one of the TOP FITNESS CELEBRITY TRAINERS, that I found REAL success and I want to share these success secrets with you!

I was overweight, miserable, and far from Sexy, but I transformed my body, self-image and now I am fit, healthy, slim, and energized! I have confidence, and true personal power and you can too!

With my coaching through my book, Fat Chick to Cover Model, you will…

Are Diet and Fitness Plans Alike?

There are so many diet and fitness plans on the market today that it can become down right confusing. In my book I explain how to structure a plan that is just right for you based on your needs and diet preferences, but most importantly, what REALLY WORKS to help you lose weight.

Is Exercise and Proper Nutrition the Only Way to Lose Weight?

Exercise and proper nutrition for optimal weight loss is important and effective. It is the only way to ensure that you will gain good health and effective weight loss. However, there is more to know!

The Little Known Secrets…

There are little known secrets that can literally help melt fat off your stomach, arms, butt, thighs, and man boobs if you’re a guy!
You won’t find these secrets in most weight loss books because many of the authors don’t know them, and if they do, they won’t tell you. Why? Because they want you to keep buying their books!

SO ARE YOU READY FOR REAL WEIGHT LOSS FAST? SO Fast your friends will be jealous??

Read the following testimonials:

Hello Camille,
I am so excited with my new life. It’s wonderful to feel fit while traveling. It’s nice not to have extra body hanging around getting in the way. IT’S WONDERFUL and I am so grateful to you for sharing that day on Facebook. It’s a miracle the timing and everything. I AM TELLING YOU THAT I LOVE YOU SO MUCH FOR WHAT YOU HAVE SHARED WITH ME> YOU MAKE IT INTO MY PRAYERS, AS I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR GENEROSITY IN SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE>
Dear Camille,
I was 35 pounds overweight and feeling the hopelessness beginning to creep back over me. Even though I knew what to do, no matter what – I couldn’t get it off. Yesterday morning I went through my closet to try on my jeans that have been hanging there for over two years. To my astonishment, most of them didn’t fit because they were TOO BIG! Oh, my gosh, I couldn’t’ believe it! I’ve been waiting for the time, and praying for the solution that would enable me to loose the weight, regain my confidence and joy. The extra weight had taken a part of myself away from me, but it’s all coming back now! I’m so grateful for your expertise and compassionate support in coaching me. So, thank you again and forever for this marvelous protocol – it’s truly changing my LIFE!
With warmest regards,
~Eliyah, Pebble Beach, California

When you look at the health and fitness of many beautiful celebrities, both men and women, it is amazing how young and vibrant they are. You can conclude that perhaps it is because they are rich and have the money to hire personal trainers and private chefs, and can afford the higher priced organic foods that are known to be healthier to consume. Yet, reading about Cameron Diez and her diet and fitness regime recently, I have to admit that it is pretty average and something anyone could manage to do (fitness level permitting) and very affordable. She goes to the gym everyday for about an hour, eats a protein rich diet like the Zone Diet and the South Beach diet, and love sports like water-boarding and windsurfing. Maybe you’re thinking, “Well, she’s a celebrity and she HAS to look good.” I would say, “Yes”, your assumptions are correct. Whether it’s modeling, or being an “A” list actress, she needs to look her very best. Competition is stiff in the industry and to keep her status she must take excellent care of herself. What if in order to keep our jobs, we were held to the same standards? Would you neglect working out? Would you put just any kind of “fuel” into your body? Or would you make your health a priority by hitting the gym regularly, eating whole, fresh, nutrient rich foods that energize your body, spirit, and mind? It is an ongoing challenge, the art of putting ourselves first. Yet, once you get in the habit, it becomes easier. Our jobs may not be demanding for us to be in tip-top condition, but the new health care standards are. Health insurance rates are going up, and many prescriptions are not covered by the new health plan which will ultimately be detrimental for many Americans. On the lighter side, I can’t help but be jealous of Cameron’s major motivator—– her high paying, extraordinary, glamorous job!

This was not my first photo shoot. My first was on the set for People Magazine in New York City where I was to pose in a bathing suit for all the world to see the miraculous transformation of a former obese woman to someone almost 1/2 her size.

Yet, yesterday’s photo shoot with one of the hottest Florida photographers, Joshua Fortini, and with the help of one of my favorite make-up artist who just goes by Vanessa, was definitely the most fun!

Palm Beach, Florida, one of the wealthiest places on the planet, was where we set up our camera and shot candid pictures for the cover of my new book titled, FAT CHICK TO COVER MODEL.

While people strolled S. Ocean, a street that is adjacent to the tropic blue-green waters of the pacific ocean beach known as Palm Beach, I was able to settle into the relaxed and opulent environment posing in everything from fitness wear to a black sequined dress and stilettos! People watched in amazement as I held up a pair of jeans I once wore 7 years ago when I weighed over 232 pounds.

When I told my mom as a young girl that I wanted to write a book but didn’t know what to write about, her advice to me was to just write about what I know.

I considered her advice PRICELESS! Why? Because I had to learn something well enough to consider myself an expert in order to be able to share my knowledge.

My struggle with weight has been a life time challenge and now that I know how to conquer this battle that about 65% of people world-wide struggle with, I feel I am totally qualified to give sound advise on what I did that helped me shed the pounds.

No matter your age, size, gender, or nationality, you can be successful at losing weight. It just takes the willingness to do what it takes and to never accept failure as an option no matter how many times you have to fall and get back up.

One of the elements that are a definite must if you are to be successful at losing weight is to have a weight loss coach and not just any coach will do for you! You need someone who has had to struggle with weight loss and who has succeeded and is a living model and testimony of good health and fitness.

We need that help and accountability. When we look at famous and successful people, we think they accomplished their great deeds by sheer luck and on their own merit. But, that is NOT TRUE AT ALL!!! EVERY SUCCESSFUL PERSON HAS A MENTOR AND COACH! So why not you?

You deserve to have someone who will take you by the hand and bring out your strengths and your brilliant hidden aspirations, so you can live your best life ever in a fit and more beautiful body.

When you purchase my book, FAT CHICK TO COVER MODEL, it is like me coaching you and is a good start to your new transformation.

Please feel free to email me with your questions and I will lead you in the right direction with help, a listening ear, and sound supportive suggestions that work! Let me know about your successes too.

Well, it’s another beautiful day in South Florida, so I’m off to the beach again… this time to just relax and reflect on all the good things the future has to bring.

With Love from your “Fitnista” and Virtual Weight Loss Coach,

Camille

It took me three long hard years to lose 100 pounds and I have to say at times it was not easy. However, I was so happy to have someone helping me!!! I was so thankful and grateful that someone was taking the time out of their life to pour into me their energy, their love, their time, and their prayers to see that I was successful.

Did I fall off the wagon sometimes?..YES! Did I feel like giving up? Yes..but I was so Damn tired of being fat, lonely, always thinking of food and having food be my god, that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired!! I knew my life would be so much different if I just had a healthier body…a more energetic body…a more beautiful body!

I had so many motivating factors that keep me focused on my goal. When it came to quiting, or not quiting, I knew I had to ask myself a very important question because losing weight was not just about me.

This might sound odd, but I was also losing weight for my coach and mentor. You know, it is really important to lose weight for yourself. That is the main goal and reason why anyone should want to get fit. But, for some reason, I found it was very important to not just think about myself. I had to think about my coach and mentor because of the dedication she had given me. She gave me three years of her time and energy to motivate me, help me, and encourage me and I didn’t want to disappoint her.

I had my children to think of. I wanted to be a good role model and I knew if they saw me do it, then it would inspire them to also live healthy and fit lives. For this is how we change generational patterns.

I knew too, that if I could be successful at one of the most difficult things on the planet to do..lose weight, then I could inspire other people to do the same.

So, it is not just about ourselves when it comes to making that change.

How do you stay motivated and focused when it gets hard to resist using food as comfort or as a stress release?

1. Use Affirmations: Wake up every morning, pray, and then say affirmations that positively state the goal you want to achieve. These can be for weight loss and everything else you want to happen for you. For example: I say everyday, ” I love how fit and beautiful my body is now that I am thin. I look years younger and people comment on how great I look”…I said this at 232 pounds. Was I thin and healthy then? No, of course not, but I had to speak to my brain and literally re-program the negative thinking I had incorporated as my major thought pattern. For thoughts come before habits…changing my thoughts helped me to change my habits toward food.

2. Make New Habits – It takes 21 days to form a new habit. I know you’ve heard this but I think it takes a little longer…more like three months, but within 21 days, if you have an open and teachable spirit, you can literally change a bad habit into a good one. It takes this amount of time for your brain’s dendrites to die and form new thought patterns created by actions that you repeat over and over. For example, if you exercise everyday for 21 days, you will have formed a new habit. Once you see the wonderful results, you begin to link this good feeling to exercise making it more enjoyable. I love to workout now, but this was not the case when I first began my new life of fitness. Just give it time and you will love any new healthy lifestyle change.

3. Get a Mentor – All great people have mentors to help them succeed. This goes for us too. They were not successful before the mentor..it was with help that they achieved great things. You can’t do everything alone. With the energy you receive by working with someone who cares about your welfare and success, you learn what it takes to win. Listen, take their advice, be a good student and stay positive. You will succeed.

4. Get Rid of “Stink-in Think’in” – Negativity is like poison, it kills anything good, pure, and just that you can ever imagine. Seeing the glass half empty is only the tip of the iceberg. Thinking you’re a loser, believing the lies you tell yourself about your mistakes only creates a deep well of despair. When a negative thought enters your mind, do a “Flip-Flop”..meaning, flip it into a positive statement. For example, if it is natural for you to say..”I will never reach my goal”, instead say, “I will reach my goal because I am focused and motivated to succeed”. By saying a flip-flop, you’re now in control, not your negative thoughts. You now have empowerment and you’ve told your brain what to do! It works every time.

5. Use Positive Pictures – Make a poster collection of positive pictures depicting your future life. How do you want to look? Where do you want to work? Live? What do you want to drive? What life goals do you want that will support your new body and fitness level? Find the pictures from magazines or off the internet and paste them to a large poster board. Look at them daily. Instead of thinking that you will never reach these goals, know that they will come true. Every picture that I’ve cut out has come to pass for me. Some came quickly, and some have not been fulfilled yet, but I still have hope. The brain understands and has to see pictures. Over time, things seem to line-up in your life and those pictures become reality.

Use these strategies and you will be successful.

One affirmation I say everyday is this…”I choose persistence and determination over quitting every time”. It keeps me from giving up.

Anything worth having takes effort. We live in a society where everything has to happen overnight. Many people don’t know what it is like to really have to work at anything. The greatest feat in life is knowing that you worked hard to attain it.

Keep the faith..keep it up…keep on trying…

and never, ever quit.

Wishing you love, happiness and weight loss success,

Camille

You’ve heard it all the time, “What you think about, comes about”. Though most of us know this to be true, how many of us really take it to heart especially when it comes to losing weight and being successful in our efforts.

It’s hard to think about cottage cheese and grapefruit, when a fast food burger and fries seems to have center stage in the theater of your mind. So how do you learn to focus on what you know you should in order to stay centered on your goals?

Behavior specialists know that what you focus on expands, which means what you think about comes about becomes your outer world. Yet focusing on the right foods is often a problem so here are 3 tips to help you change your mind for best results fast!

Tip #1. Write down your weight loss goal– the actual number. For example if you know your body looks best at a certain weight, write that number down on a post-it and place it on your bathroom mirror. Every time you visit the bathroom, you will see this number and your mind will begin to subconsciously make a mental note that this is your current weight. Your mind doesn’t know the difference between the past, future, or present. Looking at this number physically or even mental during the day will help you begin to take the necessary steps in order to reach this goal.

Tip #2. See the End Result – Athletes have known for decades that if they want to win at their game, they need to see themselves being successful. Take time daily, preferably in the morning, to sit quietly, with eyes closed, and envision you at your desired weight and fitness level. If this is difficult, find a picture in a magazine that best depicts your body shape when you will have met your goal. Look at this picture and then mentally take the time to see it in your mind during the day.

Tip #3. Use Positive Affirmations – We use affirmations everyday all day long. The most common ones dieter’s use that seem to come up especially when temptation arises is, “I sure would like to eat that donut, I just don’t have the will power to resist!” or “If only I can stay on my plan today, but it is so hard”. These are negative thoughts and simply put, they are affirmations that affirm what you are thinking and ultimately will lead you to the path of eating off your plan or worse, binging out of control. Why not say something positive to yourself, such as, “I love eating healthy and I feel better everyday when I do”, or “I am so happy now that I look and feel great! All my friends compliment me on how young and vibrant I look!”. Will you instantly see results? You may not “see” results instantly, but you will begin to train your inner brain to think positively about your weight loss journey and your positive self talk will lead you to feeling better, resulting in making better decisions on your food choices throughout the day.

One client of mine told me she thought these ideas were a bit simple and doubted they would work. I at that point took out a picture I keep in my wallet all the time. It is a picture of a woman in a pair of Levis with my face glued on it instead. This picture is what I looked at when I was 232 pounds and was discouraged and doubtful that I would ever look like this model. But, I heard of the strategy and decided to apply it to my list of weight loss tip-list. 3 years later, and 100 pounds lighter, I can say that this method truly worked for me. If weight loss is your goal, using these tips will help you create a mind for success and changed body as a result.

Recently, I meet a really interesting man who was impressed with my story and journey of weight loss victory. He asked me how I stayed motivated for such a long time, for it took me close to 3 years to lose 100 pounds.

I had to think for a moment, because there were so many things I had in place that kept me motivated. Yet, one thing that I believe inspired and motivated me the most was what I call the True To You factor or the Divine Time factor for lack of a better description…let me explain…

When you are being true to yourself by taking the time to care for your body by eating properly, taking your required supplements, exercising daily, and making the sacrifices necessary to get healthy, it is as if all your hopes and dreams begin to materialize. It is as if the Divine (God) honors your efforts by granting your desires. Why? Because, your body is the most prized possession. Without a healthy body, you are not really able to do all you are destined to do while here on this marvelous place we call earth. Yes, we maybe doing a great job at our current state, but just think of what we could accomplish if we were at our peak condition!

One of the things I had to do when I began my weight loss journey was to write out my dreams for my life. This included what I wanted in every area, such as career, family, hobbies, finances, relationships, spirituality, health and fitness, etc. I wrote out things I desired and wanted to happen. Then I cut out pictures to represent those desires…even small ones such as getting a laptop computer or a fancy blackberry cellular phone. Things like peace of mind and a new outlook on life, were things I wanted emotionally, and the list goes on.

What I found to happen was that as I would strive daily to reach my goals for my health and wellness, the things on my list began to materialize!!! I began to have new friendships, I got a promotion on my job with a pay increase, and many other things I thought would never happen for me.

Lately, I’ve been stuck. Since I’ve moved to Florida, a lot of interesting and exciting things have happened to me…(and by the way, living in a tropical environment was one of the desires on my list), yet life has not been easy and I’ve had many challenges and set-backs. My weight has stabilized and I still need to lose more to reach my ultimate goal.

What I am realizing, is that I am not as consistent with what I call the MAIN INGREDIENTS: Exercise, Diet, Mental Preparation, and Spiritual Connection.

The demands of work have once again taken precedence making it difficult for me. Yet, work responsibilities and related stresses are always going to be there…yet it is up to me to stay strong and committed to doing what I need to do every day.

I can blame it on a lot of things that I don’t have in my life that would make it easier to succeed, but then this will not help re-direct me at all and if anything, can make me bitter and ungrateful. What I’ve decided to do, is to make the best of what I do have. I have a great gym that I can go to daily for my workouts. If I am bored with my diet, there is always a fresh new recipe I can try, and if I need support, I can always find a weight loss success story to read, or connect with my old friends who have helped motivate me in the past.

My list is long and continues to grow. That is a good thing for we should always want more out of life. With constant follow through and staying TRUE to Me, by doing what I must to keep healthy and fit, perhaps more things on my list will begin to happen for me, thus making all I do to be healthy worth the effort.

Being who I am destined to be is greater than what I am doing presently and the visions I have for my life are way more incredible than what I see on a daily basis. This knowledge at times can be frustrating and inspiring at the same time because I want things to happen quickly. But, I know if I stay TRUE to my body, then I will be honored and rewarded greatly.

So, as I enter another eventful week, I am looking forward to seeing some great changes happen…Let me know how things are going for you..your stories help inspire me and keep me going as well..

Have a great week!

Your Weight Loss Friend,
